Cultural Immersion In Jordan
In Amman, you’ll get more than just an immersion into Jordanian culture, politics, and daily life. You’ll also have the chance to learn about the current human rights situation of Palestinian refugees by visiting local refugee camps and Jordanian villages.
As part of the intensive summer Arabic program, we arrange visits and tours to various Jordanian universities, and local communities. Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to connect with local Jordanian families, providing you with a comprehensive and deeply immersive experience.
From June to Late September 2025
The Summer Arabic program in Amman will take place from June to late September. This Arabic language summer program offers participants the unique opportunity to learn Arabic in an authentic and immersive environment, while also experiencing the rich Jordanian culture and history.
The Summer Arabic immersion program is designed to be flexible, allowing participants to choose when they would like to participate. Starting on the 1st day of each month (June, July, August, and September 2025), there are three 4-week Arabic sessions available. This means that if you desire, you can spend up to three months living and studying Arabic with us.
A Wide Range of Arabic Dialects
Our Summer Intensive Arabic Program 2025 in Jordan covers a wide range of Arabic dialects including:

Furthermore, we accommodate students at different proficiency levels, from total beginners to intermediate and advanced Arabic learners.
The intensive Arabic Program includes 80 hours of Arabic language instruction thoughout each 4 week session. The super intensive Program provides an extended 120 hours of instruction.
During your Arabic classes, you’ll have the opportunity to focus on your preferred Arabic dialect for four or six hours a day, five days a week.

A Small Group Setting

Additionally, small class sizes give you the chance to receive personalized attention from our highly qualified Arabic teachers, who bring experience from national and international studies and events.
Arabic Program Structure
The Summer Intensive Arabic Program offers Arabic classes tailored to all proficiency levels, including Starter, Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced.
These classes are held five days a week, with two dedicated days for field trips within Amman, all conducted in Arabic/English.

Summer Intensive Jordanian Arabic Program – Eligibility
This Summer Intensive Arabic Immersion Program 2025 in Amman is open to students, undergraduates, graduates, retirees, Arabic learners and mature students with an academic background. However, English-language fluency is required and you must be between 16-70 years old to apply.
Language Proficiency Level
We offer a full Arabic curriculum, with books and all course materials included, at six different levels to accommodate students of all language experiences and proficiencies including:
Starter Arabic Courses
For those who do not have any prior knowledge of the Arabic language and would like to start with learning the alphabet, this course will allow you to gain the fundamental skills in reading and writing Arabic as well as understanding and engaging in simple, daily conversations.
Beginner Arabic Courses
The beginner Arabic courses are offered at two levels: Beginner I and Beginner II. These Arabic lessons are designed for participants who already have a basic knowledge of Arabic and would like to develop their speaking, writing, reading, and listening skills.
Intermediate Arabic Courses
The intermediate Arabic courses are also offered at two levels: Intermediate I and Intermediate II. Typically, these lessons provide you with the opportunity for Arabic conversations with native speakers to improve your conversational and colloquial skills. Moreover, we focus on further improving your reading, writing and listening abilities.
Advanced Arabic Courses
At this level, you will concentrate on refining and perfecting your speaking and writing skills by learning sophisticated and technical vocabulary for use in most topics and discussions.
Can I Add More Arabic Hours to My Study Program?
Of course! Students in all of our Summer Intensive Arabic Immersion Program are free to add in additional Arabic language hours. Each additional hour costs 25 Euro.
If you are interested in adding extra Arabic hours, please mention this in your email and we will be more than happy to organize them for you
Accomodations
As part of our summer intensive Arabic program, you will be offered accommodation with a local Jordanian host family for the duration of your study in Amman, giving you plenty of opportunities to practice your Arabic with local Jordanian people including women, children, youth and local community members. You may even get the chance to attend weddings and other cultural events with your host family. Alongside the intensive Arabic coursework, daily interactions with your Jordanian host family will help you rapidly improve your Arabic proficiency no matter your current level.
If a host family placement isn’t available, or if you prefer another arrangement, you can stay in a shared apartment with fellow students. Please note, homestays are only guaranteed for female students and are subject to availability for male students.
Traveling to Jordan
Flying is the easiest and most common way to reach Jordan. Most international travelers arrive at Queen Alia International Airport (AMM) near Amman, which is well-connected to major cities worldwide via airlines like Royal Jordanian, Turkish Airlines, Qatar Airways, and Emirates. There’s also a smaller airport in Aqaba (King Hussein International Airport) for some regional and budget flights.
Many nationalities can get a visa on arrival, or you can use the Jordan Pass, which waives the visa fee if you stay at least three nights and includes entry to major sites like Petra.
Queen Alia Airport Pickups
Study Levantine Arabic School staff can organize a taxi to pick you up at Queen Alia International Airport and take you directly to Amman and the Center. This is the easiest and most convenient way to reach us (about 30–45 minutes, depending on traffic).
An additional fee applies for this service, typically around 50 euros in total. Please let us know if you would like to arrange an airport pickup.
