Our Story: In 2011, we began a journey in Hebron, Palestine, that would grow into the Excellence Center, a hub for education, community development, and cultural connection. Back then, we were a small team united by a shared vision: to create valuable learning experiences and bridge cultures in the heart of the West Bank, Palestine. Still bonded by the same vision, we have since grown into an international network supporting education and strengthening a global, intercultural community.
Starting from just a handful of local Palestinians and international participants eager to learn Arabic and engage in community projects, our work quickly made us a vibrant and thriving destination for international students and local community members. The Excellence Center/Study Levantine Arabic brings people from all walks of life together in order to share ideas and have a meaningful impact on Palestinian communities.
Back In 2011
One evening, after a full day of Arabic classes and community discussions, an idea emerged: what if we could bring this experience to people beyond Palestine, regardless of where they live? So, back in 2011, we began offering online Arabic lessons through the Excellence Center and Study Levantine Arabic.
Our online classes started with a few dedicated students and grew over time as students returned home, wanting to stay connected and continue learning Arabic with us.
Reaching People From All Corners Of The Globe
In 2023, we took this vision even further by officially launching “Study Levantine Arabic”, a platform dedicated to online Arabic learning. The virtual format allowed us to teach people worldwide, across borders, time zones, and cultures. Our global reach brings students everywhere closer to the language, culture, and spirit of the Arab world.
Initially, Study Levantine Arabic began with simple video calls via Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Dialpad Meetings, TrueConf Online, FreeConference, Slack Huddles, and WhatsApp, offering tailored lessons for beginners and focusing on the basics.
However, word of our programming spread quickly and soon our virtual classrooms were filled with students from diverse backgrounds and goals—some wanting to connect with Arabic culture, others preparing for travel to the Middle East, and many simply eager to learn a new language in an engaging, personal way.
Our Lessons Build The Confidence To Speak Arabic Naturally
What sets our Arabic online program apart is our focus on real-life applications. We go beyond teaching vocabulary and grammar to emphasize practical conversation. Whether it’s learning to order a coffee in Arabic, making friends, or navigating everyday interactions, our Arabic lessons build confidence so students speak naturally.
Furthermore, our students also get a taste for warm Arab hospitality, making each lesson not only a language class but a cultural exchange.

Our Arabic teachers bring this experience to life with their passion for teaching and desire to share the heart of Palestine. They incorporate stories, humor, customs, and personal insight into lessons, making each class a window into everyday life in Palestine and Arab cultures.
Along our journey, we’ve had the privilege of meeting incredible people. Many of our students have become friends, some of whom have even visited our centers in Hebron. Over our years of teaching, we have built an international community dedicated to learning and connection.
